Spring Green

My sweet little girl is growing up so fast....

The years have gone by so quickly, I can hardly believe my little baby is growing up. At four years she is filled with so much personality. Everyday her knowledge grows with reading writing and mathematics. She amazes me everyday with what she can do and learn. No matter how big she gets, and how much smarter she will be than "mommy" she will always be my little pumpkin.

Super BOWL Sunday

It has become a tradition that we head to the Flamingo Bowl in down town St. Louis for the annual Super Bowl party.
Like every year we eat and bowl until we can't bowl anymore. And every year Ella become more and more of a fierce competitor.

...Of course, she may get a little help from her Uncle Chad along the way.

{Celebrate}

November 16th
My beautiful "Big Girl" was born on this date.
Fact: There are 5 others members of our family(this includes Rilo) that share this same birthday!
I think it's a sign.

This year we celebrated Ella's Birthday on Sunday November the 13th.
Like always, we enjoyed the company of our dearest friends and family.
We are so blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives.
Thank you to All of the Grandmas who helped cook the food, as always it was delightful.
The weather was most beautiful the day of the party, just as it was the day I went to the hospital.
A beautiful day for a beautiful girl.

Happy Birthday to our "Big Girl"!
We Love you Ella,
-Mommy and Daddy

{Carnival Fun}

Last weekend Ella, Nanna and I went to the carnival. The first rides Ella wanted to go on were the farris wheel and the carousel. Of course the first two rides exhausted our entire supply of tickets.

Back to the ticket booth!

After the farris wheel and the carousel, we found every possible ride that she could ride on. Ella managed to ride every ride she could without being the least bit scared.

Oh, and did I mention that I got to ride too!
Happy Mother's day to me!

{A Spot of Tea}

Today was a good and a bad day.

Let's start with the good:
If you know me then you know that I love tea pots. Well, today I found a little necklace that was just that! It's so cute I had to get two. One for me and one for Ella.
Found at XXI

Now for the Bad:

I guess it  is all about how you look at it.
While shopping for this cute little must have necklace, among other
things, I managed to drop $100 in cash somewhere on the floor. Guess who has that $100 now? Not me. Panicked and stressed I went back to retrace my steps and found nothing (I was not surprised). I was hoping that there are still some good hearted people out there, which I know that there is, that would find it and turn it in. Again, no such luck. I am going to take this as a sign that someone else needed that money more that I did. I hope that someones life just got a little better today because of it.

{Little Green Thumb}

I got Ella some flower seeds on Valentine's day. As soon as I a gave them to
her she was ready to plant them. Ever since then we have been observing their progress and watching them grow! Now, if I can just get her to stop picking off the leaves we might be able watch
the flowers bloom.

{Springing Back}

Goodbye thundersnow, hello beautiful sunshine!

That little gopher was right! It's only February and it feels like Spring!
I'm keeping my fingers crossed in hopes that it will stick around. The whole family got in on some outdoor action today. We spent the day riding bikes, working on outdoor projects and laying out watching the clouds go by!
